Comparative tests of lasing characteristics on certain brands of neodymium laser glasses

Comparative tests were made of the lasing characteristics of certain Soviet neodymium laser glasses. The tests were carried out in the free-running, Q-switched, and pulse periodic regimes. The best parameters were obtained for phosphate glasses with high neodymium concentrations.
