The author proposes a method for how the specific heat in superfluid {sup 4}He in the presence of a constant heat current can be extracted from a second-sound experiment, if it is possible to measure the fluctuations of the temperature {delta}T(x,t) and the heat current {delta}Q(x,t). Within a renormalization-group theory the author calculates the specific heat which depends on the angle between the heat current and the direction of the second-sound propagation.
