Quality-assurance measures for certification of TRU waste for shipment to the WIPP

This document presents the basic quality assurance (QA) measures for the preparation of certification programs to certify Transuranic (TRU) waste to Waste Isolation Pilot Plant (WIPP) requirements. These QA measures were modeled from existing requirements but have been reconstructed to aid adaptation to TRU waste activities as appropriate. It is expected that this document will be utilized with companion documents by site personnel preparing TRU waste certification programs. The need to apply QA to waste certification is consistent with TRU waste acceptance criteria and DOE Order 5700.6A/sup 5/.
