Construction of geodetic networks for studying crustal movements when creating hydraulic structures in seismic regions

This article describes geodetic survey techniques and applies them to tectonic site surveys for hydroelectric power plants. Methods for conducting such surveys and implementing their results into the design and construction of hydroelectric power plants and their dams and reservoirs are explained. The use of the proposed geodetic techniques in the planning of the Bartogai and Bestyuba reservoirs is discussed.
