Comments on the origin of the carbon and nitrogen variations within NGC 6752 and 47 Tucanae

This paper summarizes the available observations concerning the nitrogen and carbon abundance variations within the globular clusters NGC 6752 and 47 Tuc. Implications concerning the primordial and mixing theories for their origin are discussed.
