Moessbauer study of the lattice dynamics in /sup 119/Sn-doped superconducting and nonsuperconducting YBa/sub 2/Cu/sub 3/O/sub 7/. sqrt. /sub delta/

The temperature dependence of the relative recoil-free fraction of the /sup 119/Sn Moessbauer absorption has been measured in the orthorhombic superconducting and in the tetragonal nonsuperconducting phase of /sup 119/Sn doped YBa/sub 2/Cu/sub 3/O/sub 7/..sqrt../sub delta/. For the superconducting YBa/sub 2/Cu/sub 3/O/sub 7/..sqrt../sub delta/ phase, the recoil-free fraction shows softening which appears for T<150 K, whereas for the nonsuperconducting YBa/sub 2/Cu/sub 3/O/sub 7/..sqrt../sub delta/ phase, it agrees with that obtained using the measured phonon spectrum without any evidence of softening
