Inclusion of the rotational structure of the target in the low energy scattering of muonic hydrogen on H sub 2 gas

The cross sections for the low-energy scattering of isotopes of muonic hydrogen on molecular hydrogen are found taking into account the Boltzmann distribution of H{sub 2} molecules in the rotational levels and transitions between them. The cross sections for the scattering of thermalized muonic atoms are calculated.
