Costs are tabulated for El Paso Alaska Co.'s proposed natural gas pipeline and LNG facilities in Alaska. The 809-mi., 42-in.-diameter pipeline with 12 compressor stations would deliver 3.375 billion CF/day of Prudhoe Bay gas to Gravina Point on Prince William Sound where an LNG plant would liquefy the gas at a rate of up to 3.03 billion CF/day of LNG equivalent. Total costs are placed at $1.934 billion for the pipeline, $1.587 billion for the LNG plant, and $57.4 million for the terminal. Including indirect costs and $1.59 billion for LNG tankers, the total project would cost $5.6 billion at 1973 prices.
