Linewidth instabilities in double-longitudinal-mode (250 MHz atms atgDatgn atms 375 MHz) multiple-prism flashlamp-pumped dye lasers are characterized. It is found that the origin of the instabilities is mainly physical with partial contribution from stochastic processes.
