l-changing collisions of Xe(nf) Rydberg atoms with SF/sub 6/

The observation of an l-changing effect in collisions of metastable Xe atoms and Sf/sub 6/ is reported. The rate constants for l-changing collisions were found to be large and therefore considered important in studies of Rydberg collision processes involving SF/sub 6/. (AIP)
