This patent describes a sampler apparatus for use in a well. It comprises a housing having a full opening bore therethrough; and a first removable sample chamber means for trapping a well fluid sample. The sample chamber means being removably disposed in the housing in a location such as to avoid restricting the full opening bore regardless of whether the sample chamber means is in an open or closed position. The sample chamber means further having an outside diameter after removal no greater than one-half a difference between an outside diameter of the housing and a diameter of the full opening bore.
