Catalytic reactivity of thin crystal surfaces. Progress report

Brief description of research efforts in the following areas are presented: (1) an isothermal desorption spectroscopy study of CO adsorbates on epitaxial (111) Pd films grown on mica using Auger electron spectroscopy; (2) a standard thermal desorption spectroscopy of CO adsorbates on epitaxial (111) Pd films grown on mica; (3) a study of the kinetics of adsorption for CO and O/sub 2/ on epitaxial (111) Pd films, (4) work function studies of Pd-Cu and Cu-Pd bilayers; and (5) thermal desorption of CO adsorbates from epitaxial Cu/Pd bilayers grown on mica.
