Roof bolting and dust control
Technical Report
·
OSTI ID:5278588
Progress has been made in controlling silica dust, an attendant health menace of roof bolting in the coal-mining industry. Two methods of drilling are used in roof bolting--pneumatic drills and rotary electric drills. Tests were made by the Bureau on the collecting efficiencies of the various types of dust control in use in roof drilling.
