Wyoming oil and natural gas drilling, production, and refining: a wage and employment survey

Technical Report ·
OSTI ID:5266533
The Wyoming Department of Labor and Statistics simultaneously initiated wage and employment surveys of the State's crude petroleum and natural gas drilling and production and oil refinery industries during the fourth quarter of 1980. The surveys were designed to update the statistics obtained in the 1979 survey of crude petroleum and natural gas extraction and the 1977 survey of oil refineries. Specifically, data were collected to: (1) Estimate the number of workers in selected occupational categories; (2) Determine the average straight-time hourly wage in each occupational category; (3) Estimate the percent of workers covered by a collective bargaining agreement in each occupational category; and (4) Review the employer contributions to employee fringe benefit programs. Results of the survey are presented in this report.
