Discussion of results of polarization observations of Cepheids

The variation of the polarization of the Cepheids S Sge, SU Cyg, W Gem, zeta Gem, and SU Cas is similar to that observed in previously investigated Cepheids. The p/sub x/p/sub y/ polarization diagram for RR Lyr constructed using the observations of Piirola suggest that this star probably has a small interstellar polarization. Comparison of the sizes of the rosettes of the polarization diagrams of 19 Cepheids with the mean errors of the observations has shown that they decrease with decreasing errors. However, this decrease apparently stops at errors 0.04-0.03% and rosette sizes of about 0.2%
