Properties of intermediate width structure in /sup 12/C(/sup 12/C,/sup 12/C)/sup 12/C(O/sub 2//sup +/)

Journal Article · · Phys. Rev. C; (United States)
We have made detailed angular distribution measurements for the inelastic scattering channel /sup 12/C(/sup 12/C,/sup 12/C)/sup 12/C(O/sub 2//sup +/) in the region of a known prominent structure at E/sub c.m./ = 29.0 MeV. Our analysis shows that the two partial waves l = 16(h/2..pi..) and 18(h/2..pi..) contribute significantly to this structure. The width and centroid of the contribution from the dominant l value, 18(h/2..pi..), are identical to those of a structure seen in the inelastic 2/sup +/ channel.
