The investigation covered portions of Lawrence and Sciots Counties, Ohio, and that part of the Upper Devonian Shales known as Ohio Shale. Computer searches were made of Landsat, airphoto, high-altitude imagery, and low-altitude infrared imagery. Results indicate that the Devonian Shale production present in West Virginia and Kentucky extends westward and northward into Ohio. Recommendations are given for further study. (DLC)
