Hydrogen thyratron triggered UV nitrogen laser

An UV nitrogen laser which uses a domestic hydrogen thyratron as trigger and isotope as pre-ionizer is reported. The maximum pulse energy is 5 mJ, the time delay jitter is +- 1 ns, and energy stability for a single laser pulse is 5%.
