This paper reports on the moisture content of heated steam at the inlet to a separator steam superheater (SSS) of domestic turbine plants which amounts to 11-15% and at the outlet it amounts to 1%. This not only decreases the efficiency of turbine plant but also exerts a negative effect on the reliability of operation of the steam superheater elements. Therefore one has the problem of reducing, as much as possible, the humidity level of the steam downstream of the separator, with a goal of 0.1%. This problem is solved by means of an intrareceiver separation on operating turbine plants. The efficiency of application of the intrareceiver separators is shown on an example of a slit moisture catcher mounted in the receiver of SSS-750 of the K-750-65/3000 turbine plant.
