Thermoelectric refrigerator powered by photovoltaic solar collectors

In developing countries and remote areas where electric supply is not available, a thermoelectric refrigerator is needed for food and medical drugs storage. Such a refrigerator which requires direct current supply is suitable for matching with photovoltaic collectors (PV). A normal automobile 12-v lead-acid battery is proposed as this storage system. 5 refs.
