Massive Yang-Mills theory; Renormalizability versus unitarity

Various massive Yang-Mills theories not based on the Higgs mechanism are investigated. They are subject to conflicting demands in the twin requirements of unitarity and perturbative renormalizability. Either one or other of these requirements is violated. Unitarity is considered in detail.
