The primary variables affecting ground vibration amplitude are the charge weight per delay and the length of delay interval. Blast variables having a significant effect on overpressure amplitude include the charge weight per delay, length of delay, burden and spacing, stemming amount and type, directions of initiation, charge depth, and amount of detonating cord and cover. 1 ref.
