Gluon mass in the quenched Eguchi-Kawai model

Journal Article · · Phys. Rev. D; (United States)
We determined the mass of the gluon in the three-dimensional quenched Eguchi-Kawai model, using a momentum-space Monte Carlo method. The values obtained suggest that the gluon mass extrapolates to infinity in the continuum limit, as required (in any physical gauge) by color confinement. This result supports previous findings in the quenched large-N continuum theory.
