The [ital s]-only isotopes of tellurium [sup 122,123,124]Te provide a unique opportunity to test [ital s]-process systematics. The neutron capture cross section ratios [sigma](Te)/[sigma](Au) at astrophysical energies have recently been determined with an uncertainty of approximately 1%. This provides the possibility of deriving limits for [ital p]-process contributions to these [ital s]-only isotopes. Unfortunately the absolute abundances of the tellurium isotopes have not been measured, so that errors in the existing isotopic data need to be more realistically assessed. This constrains the estimates of the magnitude of the [ital p]-process contributions and hence an investigation of [ital s]-process branching in this mass region.
