Polarization of. Xi. sup minus hyperons produced by 800-GeV protons

The polarization {ital P}{sub {Xi}}{sup {minus}} of {Xi}{sup {minus}} hyperons produced by 800-GeV protons has been measured for {ital x}{sub {ital F}} from 0.3 to 0.7 and {ital p}{sub {ital T}} from 0.5 to 1.5 GeV/{ital c}. {ital P}{sub {Xi}}{sup {minus}} has a {ital p}{sub {ital T}} dependence similar to that of the {Lambda} but has a different {ital x}{sub {ital F}} behavior. Also, an energy dependence of {ital P}{sub {Xi}}{sup {minus}} has been observed.
