Compression equations for mercury porosimetry
Technical Report
·
OSTI ID:5218478
This report describes methods for obtaining isothermal pressure-volume data using a mercury porosimeter and for completely correcting this data for compression effects. The isothermal compressions of several liquids were measured with a 103 MPa (15,000 psi) mercurcy porosimeter using the principles described in this report. Also, the porosities and surface areas of several areas of several macroporous solids were accurately measured. 4 figures, 5 tables.
