Tributyl phosphate (TBP) is widely known as a readily available and highly efficient extractant for heavy metal ions. In the present paper, the results of an investigation of the effect of temperature on the extraction of molybdenum(VI) with tributyl phosphate is given. A study of the effect of temperature on the extraction of molybdenum(VI) from hydrochloric acid media with a benzene solution of TBP showed that increasing the temperature caused the extraction of molybdenum(VI) to decrease.
