Measured motions of a North Sea Articulated Loading Platform

This paper presents the results of analyses of fullscale measurements of movements of a North Sea Articulated Tower. It is described how a platform of this type moves in the response to the wind and wave environment. Furthermore, the environmental loading on the platform is characterized and the properties of the structural system indicated. The paper is based on three recording periods, each characterized by severe environmental conditions.
