The upward curvature in the upper-critical-field curve observed in URu{sub 2}Si{sub 2} has been claimed as evidence for anisotropic pairing of the {ital E}{sub {ital g}} type. Symmetry analysis of the coupling of the superconducting order parameter and the spin-density wave leads to the conclusion that this claim is unfounded because it is based on a nonexisting term in the free energy.
