Effect of air flow on toxicity of pyrolysis gases from wood in USF (University of San Francisco) toxicity tests

In tests on the pyrolysis of Populus tremuloides, Fagus grandifolia, Quercus rubra, Thuja plicata, Pseudotsuga menziesii, Tsuga heterophylla and Pinus strobus, there was n.s.d. in toxicity between gases from the various species when delivered to mice in exposure chambers. Air flow reduced toxicity.
