Mesaurement of the equivalent widths and other properties of the line profiles of 24 photospheric lines of Si II, Si III, Si IV, C II, C III, and C IV in the spectral range between 1175 and 1725 A are presented for seven B stars and two O stars of luminosity classes IV and V. The observed properties of the photospheric absorption lines were determined by fitting smoothed profiles to the observed spectra, making use of second-order polynomials in up to six segments.
