Basic routine measurements at the polar ionosphere from stations in Greenland: Narssarssuaq, Godhavn, Thule, Sdr. Stroemfjord et al, and vertical sounder VLF and riometer recordings were made from about 10 other locations in Greenland, Norway and Faroe Islands. Studies of special ionospheric phenomena based on these measurements, especially in the sporadic E-region of the ionosphere, development of unmanned geophysical observatories, and radiocommunication-forecast, are reported.
