An improved solar water heating system for use with a solar collector is described comprising: a first tank defining a first reservoir storing a fluid transfer medium therein, an ingress port receiving the fluid transfer medium from the solar collector into the tank at a point dividing the tank into upper and lower portions, and an egress port returning the fluid transfer medium to the solar collector from a point within the lower portion of the tank; a second tank defining a second reservoir enclosed within the first tank and storing a quantity of domestic water therein.
