A worldwide literature survey cites power generation by direct conversion with solar cells and indirect conversion using solar heat. Topic areas cover solar tower power plants, orbital solar energy technology, photovoltaic power generation, and solar augmentation of hydroelectric power systems. A few abstracts pertain to the future role that solar energy will play in production of electric power and general studies comparing the technical and economic feasibility of various methods of electric power generation. Abstracts dealing with solar sea power generation and spacecraft power supplies are excluded. (This updated bibliography contains 108 abstracts, all of which are new entries to the previous edition.)
