Part I presents 12 energy savings ideas. Part 2 lists ideas requiring little or no capital investment and with quick return. Part 3 gives ideas that require more capital, and in some cases, expertise beyond that of a normal bakery. The expense to implement these ideas and to obtain the expertise is greater, but so, generally, is the return. Part 4 contains three forms to help manage the energy conservation plan. Part 4 also has two examples to show typical methods of estimating the cost savings possible from implementing energy conservation measures. The workbook provides a quick approach to an energy conservation program for bakeries without engineering personnel.
