Increasing prices and decreasing supplies of fuel oil has created a need for highly efficient ship propulsion systems capable of utilizing fuels other than oil. The purpose of this thesis is to perform a preliminary design of a combined cycle propulsion plant equipped with a multi-fuels combustor capable of burning coal or oil.
