Part five of the hearing record covers testimony given on the last two days by 50 witnesses from a variety of businesses, communities, and interest groups on the value and effectiveness of air-pollution legislation. Arguments for continuing and strengthening the Clean Air Act were challenged by statements that the Act is flawed and presents an economic burden, especially for industry.
