Modified algorithm for deadlock avoidance

A modified algorithm for deadlock avoidance with multiple types of resources, where the maximum claims of the individual processes are unknown is dealt with. A new concept of the dynamic ordering of the processes is introduced. The algorithm is also applied to a decentralised system. The advantages of the algorithm are considered in terms of flexibility, resource utilisation and communication overhead. 3 references.
