Measurement of the. sigma. /sup 0/-. lambda. transition magnetic moment

The ..sigma../sup 0/-..lambda.. transition magnetic moment has been measured to be chemically bond..mu..(..sigma../sup 0/-..lambda..)chemically bond = 1.59 +- 0.05 +- 0 .07 nuclear magnetons. The ..sigma../sup 0/ lifetime is tau(..sigma../sup 0/) = (0.76 +- 0.05 +- 0.07) x 10/sup -19/ sec. The uncertainties are statistical and systematic, respectively.
