S and W FCC update: Feedback from commercial resid crackers

Conference ·
OSTI ID:5173500
The S and W FCC Process has as its basis the developments of Total Petroleum, Inc. at their Ardmore (Oklahoma) and Arkansas City (Kansas) refineries. This novel FCC Process features two stages of catalyst regeneration in separate vessels and a highly efficient feed injection system with special atomizing spray nozzles. The S and W FCC Process provides outstanding performance on vacuum gas oils as well as on residual oils. Many of the performance benefits of the S and W FCC Process can be achieved by revamps to existing vacuum gas oil FCC units, without necessarily adding another regenerator or replacing the converter. Stone and Webster licenses this FCC process and Revamp Technology worldwide.
