Thermalization of gauge bosons in the Abelian Higgs model
- Blackett Laboratory, Imperial College, Prince Consort Road, London, SW7 2BZ (United Kingdom)
The thermalization rate for long wavelength fluctuations of the gauge field in the Abelian Higgs model is calculated from the imaginary part of the self-energy. The calculation is performed for both the symmetric and symmetry broken phase of the theory, modeling the transition as both a first and second order transition. {copyright} {ital 1997} {ital The American Physical Society}
