Liouville realizations of W sub infinity -algebras

The authors study the classical field-theoretical realizations of W-algebras in the system of two bosonic fields with the Liouville self-interaction. This system may be important for non-critical W-strings and W-gravity. In this paper the combined W{sub {infinity}} + w{sub {infinity}} transformations which leave the action invariant are found and their group structure is analyzed. The invariance algebra involves Zamolodchikov's W{sub 3}-algebra as a nonlinear subalgebra.
