Measured spectrum-averaged fission cross sections are reported for several benchmark fast-neutron fields. For the 252Cf spectrum, absolute cross section measurements at NBS and the University of Michigan are compared. Cross section ratios (relative to 239Pu) are reported for 235U, 238U, and 237Np for the following fields: 235U fission spectrum, BIG-10, CFRMF, SIGMA SIGMA, and the Intermediate-Energy Standard Neutron Field (ISNF) at NBS. Fission product yields measured by the Interlaboratory LMFBR Reaction Rate Program (ILRR) are reported in two categories: Consensus Yields from thorough interlaboratory studies and Subsidiary Yields for isotopes studied less intensively (usually by a single laboratory). All measured yields were determined by Ge (Li) counting of fission activation foils, with specific fission rates determined by counting fissions from a separate light deposit in an ionization chamber. The fission product yields for the CFRMF and BIG-10 fields are reported first separately and then combined, to provide a single set of yields for a Fast Reactor Spectrum.
