The subject of this dissertation is a study of antiproton annihilations at rest with bound neutrons in deuterium leading to 3-body K anti K..pi.. final states. The antiprotons were produced by the 30 GeV proton alternating gradient synchrocyclotron and brought to rest in the 30-inch BNL-Columbia bubble chamber filled with deuterium. Branching ratios of the final states K anti K..pi.. were measured and production of meson resonances was studied. The results were compared with those obtained by research groups studying the anti-proton-neutron annihilation at rest in Rome, Italy, and Pisa-Padova, Italy. Finally, theoretical predictions, based on the antiproton-proton annihilation at rest, were compared with the experimental results.
