Octane and total yield improvement in catalytic cracking
This patent describes a process for catalytically cracking a hydrocarbonaceous feedstock comprising the step of contacting the feedstock in a reaction zone under catalytic cracking conditions in the absence of added hydrogen with a catalyst composition comprising a zeolite component having a Constraint Index of about 1 to 12 and a mole ratio of oxides of SiO/sub 2/:Al/sub 2/O/sub 3/ greater than about 500 and a large pore size crystalline aluminosilicate cracking component. The percent of the crystalline zeolite component to the large pore size crystalline aluminosilicate containing catalyst composition is about 0.05 to 1.0 wt.%, and wherein the zeolite component is a separate additive catalyst.
