Application of IGP-38 oil in heavily loaded planetary gears

In the development of heavily loaded planetary gears for a high-speed centrifuge I-20A oil did not give the required operating life of the reduction gearing, so IGP-38 oil was selected to replace it. IGP-38 is a mineral oil base stock containing antioxidant, antiwear, antirust, and antifoam properties. The replacement of I-20A oil by IGP-38 makes it possible to extend the operating life of the reducers by a factor of more than 2.5 and the oil change period by a factor of more than 10.
