An exciton state density with angular momentum is derived in this paper, based on statistical theory. The square of the spin cut-off factor {sigma}{sup 2}{sub {ital n}} is proportional to the exciton number and the nuclear moment of inertia. When the exciton system approaches statistical equilibrium, this exciton state density automatically reaches the Fermi-gas nuclear level density with angular momentum.
