Sandia National Laboratories, a national security engineering and science laboratory, strives to make its new technology easily accessible to US private industry, local and state governments, universities, and other federal laboratories. This goal of extending technological advancements beyond our national defense priorities is consistent with the wider concept that our security is strengthened by energy stability, economic competitiveness, environmental preservation, and other areas that maintain our national vitality.
