State heating oil program: Final report, September 1986-June 1987

The New York State average weighted price of home heating oil during the reporting period had a steady price increase compared to the previous year which had shown a major price decline. The wholesale-residential price margins remained relatively stable in New York during the 1986-87 season averaging about 35 cents per gallon. Inventory levels in primary storage were higher than the previous year but maintained the pattern of the previous year. The peak levels appeared in the mid-winter season.
