A detailed analysis of the environmental impacts related to the construction and operation of an oil-fueled electric generating station. The proposed plant will occupy a 639 acre site on the south shore of Lake Erie in Girard Township, Erie County, Pennsylvania. Electrical power generated by this facility will vary between 245 megawatts and 295 megawatts. The water intake and effluent discharge system will be located in Lake Erie. Approximately 1.4 million barrels of No. 2 fuel oil will be consumed annually.
